Beanina's Song
Co-created with Ishaan from Dubai
In sunny Yemen, far away,
Beanina dreamed the day away -
With hikes and ice cream, laughs and cheer,
The perfect day was drawing near!
But just before she took a bite,
Papa shared a tale so bright -
Of Baba Budan, bold, big and kind,
With coffee dreams and travel in mind.
“To India,” Papa said with pride,
“We’ll go where coffee’s yet to thrive!
But we must sneak, we must be smart
No one can know we plan to start!”
So into Baba’s beard they crept,
While Mama packed and siblings slept.
They rode a ship through wind and wave,
With just enough courage to be brave.
A bird came close, a guard near-spied,
But luck and wit were on their side.
Through secret storms and salty sea,
They reached the land of mystery.
In Chikmagalur, green and wide,
The Bean family planted with love and pride.
Rain poured down, and sunbeams beamed,
And soon the hills with coffee gleamed!
From tiny seeds to coffee fame,
They grew a world that knew their name.
And every bean that brews today
Begins with Beanina’s bold getaway.
Sip your coffee, calm and slow,
Thank the beans that helped it grow.
And if you ever find the hill
Say hi to Beanina. She’s there still.
